SAVE: “Heart of the Pines” T-Shirt

PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The SAVE “Heart of the Pines” T-Shirt is a striking and symbolic piece of merchandise that pays homage to both the natural landscape of South Jersey and the passionate community of environmental advocates at Stockton University. Designed for Stockton Action Volunteers for the Environment (SAVE), this forest green shirt blends anatomical illustration with regional imagery, rooted deeply in the ecological identity of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. The shirt’s design connects emotion and place positioning the Pine Barrens not just as a location, but as the root of SAVE’s mission and values.

DESIGN OBJECTIVES:
Front Identity (Subtle and Recognizable) - The SAVE logo is printed on the front chest, simple, clean, and professional, providing clear organizational branding while keeping the main visual focus on the back.

Back Graphic (Symbolism Meets Ecology) - At the center of the back design is a detailed, anatomically correct heart. Within the structure of the heart are cut-out elements representing the Pine Barrens ecosystem.
1. Towering pine trees symbolizing the forest itself.
2. Soaring ospreys, Stockton University’s official mascot, rooting the design in school pride.
3. A delicate dragonfly, representing biodiversity and the fragility of local ecosystems.

Color and Aesthetic:
