PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Fighting World Hunger is a creative mixed media piece using everyday food items to symbolize the battle against global hunger. The artwork features a bow and arrow, where the bow’s base is constructed from macaroni pasta and the string is crafted from uncooked spaghetti. The arrow is made from forks and knives arranged together to resemble an oversized fork, combining the imagery of a weapon with eating utensils. This conceptual piece uses familiar materials and symbols to provoke thought about nourishment, conflict, and the fight to end hunger worldwide.
